Playing for the team, and for the team to win, is the most fundamental part of the game, but not winning at all cost. Fair play and respect for all others in the game is of great importance, and this code sets out the standards the club expects from its players, parents of players and supporters. In registering the player at Clooney Soccer School the parent / guardians and the Player, agree to the following Code of Conduct.
THE FOOTBALL CLUB AGREES TO PROVIDE
• A safe environment in which the player can learn and develop their own sporting abilities
• Participation in matches and training sessions
• Trained / Screened and qualified coaching staff
• A Code of conduct and Rules by which players, parents and coaches are required to abide.
• An undertaking that all times the welfare of the player will be given the highest priority
• Child Protection, anti discrimination, and equal opportunity policies
THE PARENTS / GUARDIANS AGREE TO
• Encourage and help the Player to meet targets, including the Club’s Code of Conduct and Rules
• Support the Player without pressure, praise good performance and refrain from criticising lapses
• Set a good example for the Player by their behaviour as a spectator at matches
• Keep the coaches informed about matters affecting the Player and give at least 24 hours notice if the player is unavailable for selection
• Respect and be supportive of the team coaches and other team official
THE PLAYER AGREES TO
• Make every effort to develop their own sporting abilities, in terms of skill, technique, tactics and stamina
• Give maximum effort and strive for the possible performance during a game
• Avoid all forms of gamesmanship and time wasting, in the spirit of fair play
• Not use inappropriate language
• Know and abide by the Laws, rules and spirit of the game, and the competition rules
• Accept success and failure, victory and defeat, equally
• Treat opponents with respect at all times, irrespective of the result of the game
• Accept the match officials by accepting decisions without protest
• Respect team officials by abiding by the instructions of their coach and manager
• Not to wear jewellery (including watches) at training or games
